Simple Living

Since we don't have wireless internet at the house, I have been spending several hours in either Panera, Starbucks, or Barnes and Noble. It's just been a hassle because I want to spend all day looking for a job, but I don't want to spend all day in any of those places.  Well, Jake and I were talking to our neighbor yesterday before we went to play tennis and she offered her wifi password since we are only going to be staying here for another week and a half. It turns out....the only place we can get her signal is on the window ledge of the bathroom!

So, I guess it beats having to go out all the time, and Alice enjoys the company! She's is getting used to becoming an "indoor only" kitty cat. In Omaha, she loved going outside for the day while Jake and I were working, but we aren't sure it is a good idea to do that here...we are more in a "city" than on the outskirts of a forest (like we were in Omaha).

Jake and I have been spending our free time apartment hunting...It is difficult when you aren't familiar with the area! We have gotten a lot of help from some of our new friends and we are really thankful for that! We are praying we find the right place very soon. We both are anxious to move our furniture out here from Omaha and get settled. The only things we brought out here were our clothes, valuables, a pot and pan, a few dishes, some silverware, linens, and the cat! Living with very little for the past few weeks, I have definitely realized that I don't need so much "stuff" and it is much easier to live simply. Once we move our belongings out here, I'm really excited about cleaning out and getting rid of some of the "stuff" that just clutters life.
