I got to spend quality time with a few of my favorite people over the weekend and my heart is full. Andrea hosted Mandie and Becca and I at their home in Lewisburg, WV. I love making memories with these girls! Mandie drove in from Columbus, OH; Becca from the DC area and I came up from Knoxville. It was so nice that we were all able to meet in a central location and we enjoyed some wonderful hospitality - thanks, Andrea!
Once we all arrived we enjoyed catching up on each others lives and staying up late chatting and laughing the night away. The next morning we cooked breakfast, showered up and hit the town.
Lewisburg is a really quaint town with some neat boutiques, art galleries, shops, farm-to-table restaurants and historic buildings. We had a great time walking around town and enjoying some good food.
And then we found this perfect fall tree...
Andrea took us to The Greenbrier - a luxury resort nestled in the hills of West Virginia with a rich history (it was built in 1778).
Apparently, in the 1950's a secret underground bunker was built at the Greenbrier as an emergency relocation center to house Congress in the event of a nuclear war. It was never used in an emergency situation and word got out in the 1990's about the secret bunker. Now it's just a tourist attraction.

Interesting decor, but it felt so cozy and it worked. I don't know how any other place could pull off those yellow floral curtains with a big bow at the top!

After church on Sunday morning we headed over to the historic General Lewis Inn for a delicious brunch.
We all left town before the snow hit Lewisburg and Andrea sent us home with some delicious homemade apple butter. Can't wait to have another reunion weekend with you girls!
