John called us before the trip to let us know we were all going to go to the Orlando Magic basketball game with a group of people from their church. Little did we know that Alma was offered 4 VIP tickets for court-side seats the day of the game. John and Alma kept the ticket upgrade a surprise and we realized something was up when we walked up to the VIP entrance outside of the arena instead of the normal entrance. It was an awesome experience. The tickets gave us access to the VIP lounge which included all you could eat dinner, drinks, and game snacks.
The rest of the weekend we relaxed, watched the Superbowl, hung out, took a ride in the Caddy, and went shopping.
In an effort to try to make Jake's 30th birthday a memorable one, I threw him a surprise birthday party the weekend after our trip to Florida. He thought we were going on a double-date with Corey and Amanda and wanted to cancel because he wasn't feeling well (you KNOW he really wasn't feeling well if he didn't want to get out of the house!). I convinced him that it would be fun, so we went. This was stressful for me!
Grant came down from Indy, Zach and Catherine came up from Riceville, Tate came over from Nashville, Caleb came from Cookeville, and several friends from the Knoxville area showed up to celebrate Jake.
